a princess in heaven . . .

I dont know what it is about this picture but it has always brought a big smile to my face. Eithene holding her favorite princess figurines and her sweet baby brother Gabriel, about to fall over!

Another beautiful child has lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease...

 Eithene  was just shy of her 5th Birthday.

For family and friends, this is the little girl I talked about often and have posted many prayer requests for. She spent much of her life inpatient, and her entire last year there while she continued to battle many infections and fighting organ failure, all from the affects of Mito.

Eithene was one incredible little girl, like so many others before her, she fought hard and she loved life. She endured more pain in that tiny body, more than any of us could imagine, but then there was always that amazing smile. Eithene changed many lives in the short time she was here on earth. She will never be forgotten.

I choke up everytime I think of all these babies listed to the left on this page. All so young and so much to live for...

Through the heartbreak, I imagine Eithene is at a beautiful table, dressed in a pink flowing princess gown and topped with a sparkling tiara, no longer in pain, with tubes or machines...she is laughing and dancing with all our Mito Angels, each having as much cake and ice cream as their hearts desire!

Jessica's strong faith and amazing strength has no doubt helped me

over the years as Jack battles this same disease.
